I wanted to give an unfortunate update about Eric Maurer. He passed away today from heart and lung complications. He will be sorely missed here and in the entire fishing world. Details of service arrangements to follow.

Sorry, I call it Black Widow, its real name is Widows Creek, Stevenson Al. Its a boat-only option FYI. I call it Black wodow because I went there in the summer once and the water is so hot I swore it could make widows if a man fell in.

Black Widow in winter time is a good place, or if you are REALLY wanting them, take the drive to Cumberland City in Clarksville, best place I know of. You can fish it from the bank with ease as well.

Actually most of the hate being referenced is on the Facebook Chattanooga Fishing Forum page, mostly locals. Its really disgusting the way people are talking about the guy. All this does for me is guarantee if I ever catch one that big, Ill filet that sumbuck right on the dock at Dayton Boat...
