Started out fishing a main lake point around 7:00 am with a 6in swim bait, and on my 3rd cast I caught my first keeper. About 5 casts after that I had one hit it hard but didn’t hook so I just kept slow rolling it and it came back and committed. She weighed 6lb. I started throwing a jerk bait...

That’s awesome! There’s nothing like spending quality time with our kids on the water.

Got on the water today around two and fished mid lake in some pockets with no bite at all. Found some fish bit couldn’t get them to bite. So then I went down past Harrison bay idling around and pulled up on some schooling fish. Pulled out the lipless and still couldn’t get a bite. So then I...

    2020 CATCH Schedule

Ok thank you and God bless you. I don’t have that insurance on my boat or I’d be fishing this trail for sure. Love what y’all are doing here!

    2020 CATCH Schedule

I was reading the rules for the tournament through the website and it says you have to have at least $100,000 in liability insurance. I’m assuming this means boat insurance? Could you give more detail please?

    Spiney dorsal fin cut

It looked like it had one but someone may have cut it off.

    Spiney dorsal fin cut

I went out yesterday and noticed one of the fish I had caught had no spiney dorsal fin. Anyone ever seen that before?

Went out for a few hours after church yesterday for a good day of fellowship with my brother-in-law. Put in at wolftever and we fished around Harrison Bay and then to Chester Frost. We caught numbers but no size. Biggest fish was only 2lbs. We were throwing traps and underspins. All fish caught...

    Bunk board replacement

Or I guess I could go ahead and prep my boards with carpet at home and then just use lag bolts instead of the pan head bolts that go all the way through.

    Bunk board replacement

I think it’s going to take me a little longer. My bolts go all the way through my boards and are recessed in the top. So the only way I see to do it is put new boards on and then carpet them while they’re on the trailer.

    Bunk board replacement

Does anyone know who replaces bunk boards at the ramp while you’re out fishing?

    Who repairs trim motors?

I took it apart and it was full of water and rusted up pretty bad. I found one online for $300 so I ordered it yesterday. Mercury was wanting $1100. I’ll be back on the water soon!

Thank you so much for that link to the video. I’m going to tackle this tomorrow. God bless you my friend!

    Who repairs trim motors?

I’ve got the motor off and I’ve connected it to a battery and it still won’t work unless you tap it with a hammer.

    Who repairs trim motors?

The motor is on a 1991 Mercury xr4 150 Blackmax. It’s a 3 wire motor and part # 99186. The only time it will work is if you tap it with a rubber mallet. A new one from Mercury is out of my price range and I’m trying to get back on the water soon. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
