    Clear/Yellow Fluorescent

I seen this type of fishing line that was an easy to see yellow fishing line that would turn clear under water. Does anyone know the maker or product name of this line is?

2 Things that will help any angler find fishing spots

Im happy if the report includes strategy and presentation information. Forget honey holes, the fish aint leaving the water so we go them cornered. Ive considered depth and presentation to be the dominant factor.

    fishing spots at chester frost

The main pier has brush piles all around it about 20 - 40 out. If they they would drop the water far enough you would see the the chrismas trees would be re-decorated with with fishing lures, $30-$40 of which are mine.

    Golden Shiner

It does not seem to be that such lenght information was recorded, I was hoping that someone had knowledge of such. I did not think about its record potential before I cut it up for bait, but I did think that a 10 inch fat bellied GS was large.

About how long do you think the TN state record golden shiner would have been? it was only 15 oz.

    Definition of "Afield"

I have recently thought that one of my harvesting practices could potentially be a violation. As I leave the lake and pretty much only as I leave the lake I clean and gut fish cos the guts are best disposed at the lake and avoid fishy smells in the trash can. I have been cutting the heads of...

    Tough Catfish Meat?

Does the meat of catfish get tough with the increase in size of the fish? What is the max size you would recommend for good, deep fried catfish?

    Spots on the bank

I have never known if TWRA was asking for any species to be indiscriminantly killed, but that has been the attitude towards Gar for several fishermen I came across over the years. I have never harvested a bass below the 15 minimum on Chick regardless of black bass category. But I have chummed...

    What did I catch?!?

There are enough ppl saying it was a smallie, so guess it is unaminous. Ive noticed that extra cold water will pale-out a fish's color, I did catch a white bass that did kinda fit your description but it wasnt that brown just white.

    Yellow Perch

looks like a lot of folks just 'accidentally' catch Yellow Perch. I have learned a little of their non-spawn habitat. Many largemouth fishers would put jures in sunken brush and trees. Apparently a smaller lure would catch Yellow Perch in the same type of cover.

    "Hatchery Operations"

Was just looking at 2008 regulations/guide and noticed total funds associated with the hatchery system in Tennessee has become a rather large portion of expenditures (pages 6, 7). Hatchery costs were divided up among “Hatchery Operations” (26%), “Hatchery Improvements” (14%), “Fish Acquisition”...

    Went fishing and saw...

If you had survived thousands of years from predation and winters without shelter you would be tough enough to cross 1/2 mile of 46 degree water. Being at the top of the food chain and having opposable thumbs are making humans soft.

    Yellow Perch

thanks oldsoldier, It seems like yellow perch spawn in slightly warmer water than walleye it they are sticking around in creeks and bays until march, but could be some other factors the trigger spawn like daylight length and the moon or post spawn feeding and or fry rearing. These tips...
