That is a very unique rack! Has anyone found any similar sheds in the past couple of years or is this the first time any of you has seen it?

No. I've hunted there for years. Never found a shed that wasn't chewed up by the critters. I have seen some really nice bucks, but nothing this massive. I will say when I shot, I had no clue he was half that big! That makes me think some of these deer I catch glimpses of are bigger than I realize. There are some giant rubs, the biggest I have ever seen, scattered all over those mountains every year, and its really tough, rugged, inaccesable ground. I have also seen some mega-tracks over the years.

That's always strange when a deer gets to that age and no one on the property has ever seen it. Of course, they do travel more than usual this time of year and you never know when one is just passing through looking for the ladies! The may or may not ever come around again.
Before rifle season, we saw a giant standing in a field one night on one of the properties we hunt. Haven't seen the @!#% thing since and don't have him on any of our cameras either? It can be frustrating, especially when you have seen the 'big one' and nothing else seems to compare!
Again, nice job on that brute!

A very respectable trophy there churly. Mountain deer are a bit more special and challenging in my opinion. You have harvested a special animal and one that will lurk in the memory forever. Congratulations on the brut!

Rumor has it churlys buck was spotlighted in chattanooga national cemetery last week. They found a used hothands they got dna from and are now analyzing fingerprints off a crushed budweiser can. I hate poachers! emoLaugh Sorry man, you owe me one now lol.

I did Rob thanks!

Churly I know your probably looking for a B&C measurer but I am a SCI measurer. I have the info on how to score every species and also shows how to score anormal racks. The main difference in B&C and SCI is B&C wants to deduct all the inches it can and the SCI give credit for whats their. Let me know if I can help.

I'll let you know when I get the horns and jaw bone back from my taxidermist hopefully in the next week or so. Thanks!
