2 Cycle Oil

Yeah, figured I'd shock it the first time cause there's no telling what's growing inside there! It says "works immediately" too so That should get me on the right track.
BTW James, my motor is a 2004 115HP Merc (not Opti or Verado), and the dealer told me it runs on 2 cylinders when idling, so it's a rough idle to say the least. Sometimes it stalls when putting in gear at idle and I was thinking the Sea Foam might cure that. The other two cylinders kick in and smooths out at about 1200 RPMs or so (no wake speed).
Your thoughts are appreciated.

I have heard that. I haven't seen anything in writing as of why. I guess I need to look through some of the factory manuals and read on the sytem. I deal mostly on bigger engines. There are alot of engines being made for mercury from Yamaha and Tahatsu (spelling). I did a Water pump thursday on a 2003 40Hp and you could tell by the linkage that is one of the Jap made ones. Good thing is they are good!!!!!

Well, I've only run 3/8 of a tank with Sea Foam (32oz to 30gal- first time "shock") and the prop residue is already getting very clean! Lookslike this stuff will live up to it's billing. I'll give another update after the tank is burned.

Just finished a tank of fuel with Sea Foam- 32oz to 30gals.. Although I see a marked difference in the carbon at the prop, I didn't get better performance. I figure carbon buildup wasn't an issue for me, but buying the boat used, I wanted to try it.

I still have a pause when punching the hot foot out of the hole, and the idle is rough as a cob when the boat is in gear. It also stalls at idle when I put it in gear. Not significant issues, just frustrating at times (when slowly approaching a dock and putting in reverse in order to"kiss" the dock!).
