That a very good Idea Justin. Lets get these kids fishing! Do you have any plans in the future for us senior citizens :)

Justin may not have any plans for your retired days but I do. They involve a houseboat and Dale Hollow.

Anybody want to take a youngun as there partner? Lol.... I need to fish these to take on Colby aka Revopro ;)

emoUpsmile That did not take long....Revopro and I will be fishing some of these. Someone hook up with Basspro here and you can cut your entry in half. Folks, I believe this is a great idea and can benefit both the young angler and the adult angler. I was thinking about tagging Colby on a couple tournaments so this fit right in. emoThumbsup Jmax

You guys that are planning on doing this need to help us get participation up too. Tell everyone you know that has a boat and a kiddo. Even if they don't have a kid they may have a friend or neighbor that would love to get involved.

Pass the word along.

Yeah, next year I'm gonna put together the AARP senior angler race. It will start with the metamucil open! LOL!

Honestly Terry, I was scared we were gonna end up as a seniors trail if we didn't get some kids to show up!

I'm proud someone is stepping up to the plate for the kids.
Fishing puts kids on the right trail of this thing we call life.

I will look foward to fishing the Metamucil Open as long as there is paper and an outhouse on every other point! emoLaugh

Not meaning to stir the pot and I am all for youth participation. But if a youth team that pays $60.00 and gets to compete for the same prize as an adult team that pays $120.00 how is that fair.

Youths don't generally have $60 laying around. I also don't know many kids 16 or less that can fish as good as someone who has been fishing competitively for a few years. I have no issue with a reduced entry fee for youths.

This is probably the best step you could have made to insure the CBA kept growing. You might get some doubters now but in five years this will look like a stroke of genius.

This is a great thing to do it will lay the seed for the next generation (spelling?) Churly i dont mean that kind of seed either

Al, I can't remember ever losing anything emoScratch I admit I have had things hid from me and might have misplaced one or two things emoSmile . Do You and Bill and Churly remember where yall hid my gloves emoConfused . Now That I think about it I believe Ole Wes got them.

Are you kidding me? It wouldn't be fair if we charged a full entry. The CBA officers and memebers are willing to come out of our own pocketts to cover the short fall in entry fees to not take away from the classic pot. We want to do something for the kids!

We have found a way to give you a anfordable way to fish a CBA while getting a child you know envolved. Once you come out and fish with us, you'll see why this is our 33rd year. We have a lot of fun and I'm really excited to get the kids envolved.

I would suggest that if you think that is such a great deal....find you a young person and join in. emoBigsmile I know there are some young men up in Cleveland that make up the Cleveland Jr. Bass Club that would jump at the idea of fishing with the CBA. emoThumbsup Jmax
