This is gonna be great for the CBA this year, and years to come... WTG guys...

Anthony, don't you and Churly go bringing a new born in a carry all and say that is your youth. emoPoke emoTongue You two guys are going to have to wait a little while to bring your own. Those babies don't need to be in a boat for eight to ten hours anyhow. emoLaugh Jmax

I knew I would be portrayed as the villain in my post. But as you guys know fishing is 95% location. Heck I have had first timers fish with me that have caught 7lbers. As you guys also know with any rule change there will be someone who pushes the envelope with the rule. Its just human nature especially when there is money involved. As far as the money goes kids can mow lawns, wash cars, clean up, do odd jobs don't be afraid to let a child achieve something they will probably gain more character from working than having a free entry to a fishing tournament. You could have a discounted fee of $40.00 instead of the $60.00 apiece. Look sometimes a dissenting voice is good to have just trying to suggest the tourneys be as fair as possible.

Previously you could fish with a youth for a discounted price of $95. Most cant afford to foot the entry fee and gas, so we lowered the entry fee even more and built the youth points race, to motivate these guys to come out with the kids. We need to do everything we can to promote youth in the outdoors. Like I said, find a kid, and come out and participate and I promise you will be back. The best tx series in the area just got better!

Dont tell me your affraid of Jmax and Colby! You shouldn't have anything to worry about, you seem to weigh-in a few fish from time to time! ;)

Sniper, No hard feelings here. I just think when you keep kids in the woods and on the water they stay out of trouble and maybe realize the things in life that are fun are worth working for. Another thing is it is contributing to the same entry to the tx as if they are paying a full entry. If the officers dont get this sponsored myself, my partner and others have agreed to sponser a month to ensure future growth of the C.B.A. and hopefully enhance the life of a fellow fisherman. I can honestly say that I amproud to be a part of that.

Justin I am pleased to see the CBA officers doing this for the youths of our area. and our sport.Tournament directors should discuss this for all future tournaments in the area as well.I will be participating this year.I didn't get to fish hardly any CBA's last year.I am looking forward to the 27th.Once again thanks to all who sponsor and all who make it possible to fish these tournaments!

Just a little bump here. ;)

We`talked again about the youth division this week at our meeting. The officers are stoked about getting this new format off the ground and running. The key will be getting the word out though. We need everyone's help in doing that! Tell your co-workers, tell your neighbors, heck, tell some dude at walmart you don't even know that checking out snoopy rods for their kid. :)

I really like the fact that CBA is looking forward into our future generations. There's way too much crap out there that kids can get into. Times seem to bring more stress to not only adults, but young ones too.

Like it was put...Lets get the kids off the streets and in the creeks.

If you or someone you know would like to have more info on helping CBA sponsor this series, please contact any of the officers from CBA.

Thanks You!!!
