I want to test the waters and see if there is any interest in my 2010 Skeeter FX21 - Yamaha 250 SHO. I'm the second owner it now has just over 300 hours. It had the Yamaha factory power head replacement before I purchased it and it has around 100 hours on the new power head. The first owner damaged the lower unit and had it replaced with a new factory lower unit about 150 hours ago. I've owned the boat since late 2015. I don't use it much but I take very, very good care of it. It is in great excellent condition, the engine runs strong and that year the FX21 was rated for up to 300 hp. so someone could flash the engine to 300 if they wanted a really, really fast FX21 and not be in trouble with insurance. I've added a Minn Kota 460 PC three bank charger. It has a 1 1/2 year old Odyssey AGM 31M starting battery ($550+) and (3) series 29 Wally World Everstart trolling motor batteries in great shape. The boat has a Fortrex 36v 101 lb trolling motor that works perfect. Graphs are a 7XX series Humminbird color SI up front and a 9XX Humminbird color SI at the helm. They work perfectly. The gel coat is slick and good as is the carpet and seats (no rips or tears, really nice). This boat has been stored under cover out of the weather all its life and has had nothing but 90 octane ethanol free gas with Ring Free plus in every tank. Everything works except the speedometer which didn't since I purchased it. The little pick up hole is plugged with stuff and besides the graph has a gps readout for speed. The boat has a hard to find perfect condition Yamaha SHO Stainless T1 25 pitch prop. It will cruise at 46 - 47 gps @ 4000 rpm and WOT is right at 73 +/- depending on conditions. I have seen 74.6 running light with just me and a light chop on the water. I had myself and (2) of my buddies with a bunch of tackle running against the current and we saw 68mph (on the gps). JD Power average retail value on the boat is $40K (I ran the report last week). This boat is in excellent way better than average condition. My reason for thinking about selling is to get a family bowrider so that I can take my grandkids out (5). I have my Lowe 17' bass boat to fish out of. My options are sell the Skeeter now or hold it until late Feb. early March. If you are
interested please PM me. Right now I would like to get $38K but make an offer. No trades, no payments, need cash. I know of no issues with this boat, it is tournament ready, all systems work as they should.
I really hate to sell this boat but I'm not getting any younger and my grandkids are at that age where they really enjoy the lake and spending time with their GDaddy! A man has to do what a man has (needs) to do Please send me an email through the fishing forum if you are interested. I would be glad to show you the boat and if you are seriously interested go for a lake test.
Thanks,
James
