Hello all,

Just curious if anyone here owns or has shot any of the new AR platforms chambered in .22 LR? In particular, I am thinking about the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 and wondering how it might compare to any of the others on the market.

I think these guns are a great way to shoot a lot of rounds without spending a fortune on ammo, and I think it might make me a better squirrel and rabbit hunter too (ok, so I am just telling myself that last part to help myself justify buying it emoSmile ).

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make it even better by getting it in .556 then get the conversion kit. Then you could have both and it would make you a better deer hunter and rabbit killer at the same time.

I have shot an M&P 22 and I have shot the spikes tactical 22 conversion kit. I personally like the s&w 22 better. The spikes conversion is great for suppressed fire but i dont care for it in my full weight ar. I would just buy the m&p22 if i were u.
