I was watching these Indian fishing videos and the bait a 3/0-5/0 treble hooking with semolina or something like that and take a 3ft long piece of bamboo and snag carp and some fish called rohu and i wonder if it would work on carp or suckers here.

No, carp, shad, and suckers are not game fish you can do whatever you want with them
