I wonder if it would have been possible to have gotten another boat on Chickamauga Saturday? We started out at the mouth of a slough where fish were stacked up but couldn't get them to bite for nothing. So we moved down river and stopped on a place I haven't fished in about 4 or 5 years . Its a very small place a group of flat shale rocks by the river channel but five casts in I catch a big sauger on crankbait . Got sauger off and next cast crankbait just stopped, then started moving toward river that was the 7.30 big fish that had huge black spot on its forehead from eating crayfish. We kept fishing there but never got another bite. Hit a few more places downriver but just caught a fish here and there with those just being keepers and shorts. Just about impossible to find a place to fish that wasn't beat all to hell with fish suspended . Best three was 11 .46 good enough for first place. All fish caught on crankbait and worm in about 12 to 15 ft water. Congrats to all others in the money. See you all the 28th which will be another crowded lake with sportsman tournament same day.
