So am I reading it right that you can only keep one smallie??? I've been in severeal tx's where some one weighed in 2 small mouth, including the CFF this past weekend. How does that work?

I think that means one per angler so with 2 people in the boat you could have 2 smallies

Smallmouth are not that good. But blood thirsty rednecks trying to justify keeping them will tell you different.

I would think if you wanted bass for a fish fry your having this fall, there will be plenty to collect at the weigh ins.

Eh, not sure about that classification Justin, but they are as good or better than anything else. I will keep them when I feel like cleaning fish, but I have released a sack of good ones in the last two weeks, Sam, Labman and Team-D can attest to that fact. Not sure classifying anyone that eats them as bloodthirsty...?

I don't know that any bass is worth cutting when crappie and bream can be caught readily. Could care less who cuts one or how big it is if its legal, I just wouldn't target them for food before I tried to get some crappie or bream.

I'll eat a Smallie over a largemouth but tend to let them go normally. The meat is more tender than a largemouth.

2 smallies in the well won't hurt anything and I know I'll fill my freezer with CBA bass. :)

If you want to keep a smallmouth fine if its a legal size and you just keep one. No one can stop you I guess. I just don't see the need to brag about killing it or " MASS MURDER" by posting a picture with a fillet knife in it. I like fish just as much as anybody but I do hate seeing a smallmouth get killed when there are so many spots down there. Congrats on your catch though

Tender? Lol!

For what you have invested in gas and the battery, you could have loaded up with fresh grouper fillets.

I say fishes should have equal rights, therefore you should load the freezer with carp as well!

BILLY!!!! What are you thinking??? It is obviously OK if you first catch the bass to try to win money in a tournament (a bit like commercial fishing?), THEN when it is dead (or half dead) you can give it to someone to take it home to eat. How dare you actually try to catch a fish for your own enjoyment and dinner! Remember in the future, it is only OK to kill fish for a bass tournament!!!!!!!! (unless it is NOT a bass, then kill what you want.)

Can we spell hypocrisy?? (Just my own view on the taboo of killing a bass to eat it instead of in a tournament............)

By the way, I realize that Buoy-Blaster is just stirring the (bass) pot for reaction..............well, it is workingemoBigsmile
