I just started posting and have had mixed responses. I asked a question about redoing the top cap on my Ranger and replacing the carpet and one guy was very helpful and even put me in touch with some. However I also posted a question about Navionics Cards and all I got was chirping crickets. Honestly I am not at all used to this. I moved here from Dallas/Fort Worth Tx. area and when you post to the Texas Fishing Forum you get a number of responses before you get your screen refreshed good. Maybe it is just me but since you asked I thought I would do the right thing and take the time to respond.
Does Grapevine, Lewisville, Lake Lavon, Ray Hubbard, Lake Texoma sound familiar. Lived in Coppell & Plano....contact me sometime, may be able to share some time....... emoGeezer emoUSA

Absolutely, I fished more south and east of the Metroplex. Pool, Arlington, Welsh, Fork (Of Course), Athens, etc. I lived in Arlington/Mansfield. Would love to connect sometime. Always glad to meet a fellow Texan and fisherman.

Wifi has been out on my boat... lol I enjoy reading and getting tips. I hope to help more when my knowledge level is up.

Haven't been able to fish much with 3 jobs, but I'll make sure when I do, you hear bout it.

On my end, I haven't been a member long and I am consuming information at this point. I have only been to the chick once and Nickajack about 3 times, being a reformed Center Hill and Dale Hollow guy, after 20 years away from the sport to build a business, I am discovering a lot of things have changed. I used to be a decent stick but now I struggle... I told myself that fish were fish and if it took me 20 years to get back on the water they'd still be doing the same things... boy was I wrong.

Appreciate the information you all post here. Its great to see that transparency. I live about 45 minutes to the east of Soddy in Warren county so I plan to spend more and more time there. The Center Hill junkie in me died long ago.

As to why people don't post, maybe they're like me, absorbing information and not able to offer much at this time. Oh and what is the deal with folks posting their equipment? I will try Below:

Black V21 Legend
250 SHO
2-12' talons
3 HDS 12
Empty live wells

On the equipment list... I think it help you identify people you see on the lake and someone may have a question about something you have.

I just assumed that no one wanted to waste their time reading a post about how I managed to burn 35 gallons of gas running back and forth across the lake all day from spot to spot all day and fishing the entire watercolumn top to bottom without getting a single bite. I did manage to untangle 5 pro-level size overruns; however, between the stumps, laydowns, and riprap, I I got hung up well over 10 times, broke off 2 custom hand tied jigs, an 8.0 KVD squarebill, 2 10XD's... one of which was fresh out of the package on the very first cast, and a $50 ABT Glide Bait! If that weren't bad enough, I was headed back to the ramp to load up and go to the house when I thought it'd be a great idea to hit up this highly productive community that, for once, nobody was already sitting on. Pulled up on that honey hole ... fish of all sizes everywhere on the HDS.... on my 3rd cast had some decent size rollers sneak up on me from a cruiser that had passed by a good ways behind me. The deck started rocking, like a canoe in a hurricane, and got me off balance like I'd been drinking Evan Williams all day!!! I wound up kicking a $500 combo overboard. During all the excitement and ruckus, I totally forgot to save a way point when the combo went over. Spent over 2 hours dragging the bottom of that honey hole and never recovered my combo. But hey, yall know what they say, a terrible day of fishing beats any day having to work instead!
