Went to Pro Lures yesterday with a broken crankbait rod I had bought last year. Phil is a awesome guy who stands behind the products he sells. A big thanks .................... The soft touch castaway is a sweet rod I tested it today...

Yup, Phil is a great fellow. Wish that I could have been able to make it in. I will be there tomorrow, for sure. Haven't had the chance to get in there.

While each angler has their own CastAway Rod that they love, and even a series that they love, I sincerely believe that if each angler on here would pick up a CastAway rod, fish it for an entire day with a lure that they know they can catch fish on, and would hook into some bass, they would all buy at least one, and probably more.

Right now, I am using the Pro Sport series, and I haven't held a finer rod. I absolutely love my 7'0" setup, which I put the Citica on, for flipping and pitching. LOL At the moment, it has a jerkbait tied on it. That just goes to show just how versatile that the CastAway rods can be.............they can be changed up for 2-3 different presentations, and you will still have the fullest feel on each bite.

The reason that I like the 7'0" rod for the jerkbait is due to the hits coming on the pause, more times than not. I have honestly had slack in the line and FELT the hit through the rod. And that's no kidding. I didn't see the line twitch, I didn't see anything at all.........I just felt a small "shock" and I knew to set the hook.

I am sure that you will find that you love that rod more and more, and I hope that Phil, and his warranty on his sales will bring ya back to Pro Lures. ;)

oh yes..... i have to agree with nwgabassmaster. i have had slack in my line and could feel my bait being hit. i love my CAROLINA HONEY RIG. actually todays payday and i'm gettin another one. let you all know how it is!!!!!!!!!!

If you were in the store between 12:05ish and 12:40, you saw me. I was the dude going to town on some Central Park food, and I ended up spending $15 or so bucks on stuff. Things that I really should have gotten a while ago, but got today. :)

got another rod from CASTAWAY yesterday. it's a hg40 titanium series-grass master heavy braid 7'3" it's a flippin rod. so i'm a gonna be the mad flipper today. let ya all know how it was.

LOL Best of luck. I guarantee, your arm won't fall off, that's for sure. I have fondled the HG-40 series, but I haven't committed to buying one, just yet. I think that I am going to stick to the Pro-Sport series for right now.

Let me know how it was, bud. I am sure that it was a dream come true. I know that fishing today with the 7'0" Pro-Sport that I have was fun. Too bad all the fish came off minnows on spinning rods. LOL
