Ronnie and I thought we had a good game plan but we weren't real sure about it? We started out on a rip rap throwing spinner baits, crank baits, jigs and traps. Quickly, Ronnie boats a nice keeper about 3 lbs. on a trap. Then I got a smaller keeper on a crank bait and then a short fish. Then Ronnie gets another keeper. So we are thinking this is Ok! Three in the box in less than 30 minutes! But then the fishing it went down hill. We fished about another two hours just hauling water. So we gave up and decided to make a move up river to a steeper rocky bank. It was slow up there to but we did cull two times there. Overall we only caught ten fish. We caught our fish on spinner baits, crank baits and rattle traps in shallow water or right against the bank in probably less than 4 ft. of water. That was it! Our three little fish weighed in at 9.73 lbs. for the win! Talk about a surprise! I just couldn't believe that anyone would win with less than 10 lbs. Thanks to all that participated and I hope to see you all at CFF no. 3, April 6th at CFP!
