Mike and I had a late boat draw. Watched about half of the boats run across the lake toward Cave Lake. Prefished the week prior in our club tournament out of MCP., thought we had a plan. We went to the dam, and a boat was where we thought we would start. Fished the rip rap until the others left. Kept fishing the area and Mike puts two healthy keepers in the boat on a jig. Things slowed, moved up the lake to spot two. That turned into casting practice. Came back down, and fished I-24 rip rap, added keeper three, Mike with his jig. Moved to a fair size flat , fished hard, couple nibbles and that was it. Finished at the dam, thinking the spot may reload after several hours. No , it did not. Weighed in three for around 6 and a half pounds.
