CFF Picnic 2008 - Need help!

I will come and cook the fish as before. I have another big fry scheduled for Memorial Day but might possibly be able to do that Saturday if need be.
As much advance notice as we can get would be beneficial as well.

What about a Sunday folks?

Make it around 2 or 3 pm after church service. I think we stand a better chance. Cheez..can you do that? Nickajack Angler said he can assist with cooking.

Being Memorial Day weekend it will probably be a busy time for some people since they might already have things planned that weekend. It looks like we will have to pick another weekend and like I said in my earlier post the sooner in the year that we have it the cooler it will be. Last year we had a great time but it got hot for a lot of the folks once the shade went away. ;)

CFF Picnics have always been a good time. Deborah needs some volunteers and we need more input on the above dates.

Madbomber has informed me that this years Kentucky Derby catch will go towards the fish fry.

Dont be shy...lets get this date nailed down ands please contact Deborah , crazysmom, if you can help!

-Thanks!

Why not bump back until later in the fall? It's cooler then and that gives much more time to plan out something.

If you cook Cheeze, I will help you.

Chris...I was thinking the same today. Even my kiddos are packed those 2 months with things going on.

How about Sept. 27th?

Why don't you just make it Christmas? Just set a date and everyone that can make that date will be there. It is not possible to please everyone.

Christmas would work for meemoRolleyes emoRolleyes If there is a large number of people that can now show up then why would you pick that date?emoScratch \
September would work great for me as well.

To answer that...Theres just something about an outdoor event with this group The smell of Cheez's cooking, the lawn chairs all over the place and just being outside to socialize. December is winter..and cold.

September would give us a good breeze, cool weather and fall colors.

Just my 2 cents worth...

CRACKERFEST - MAY

CFF PICNIC - SEPTEMBER

and we can have a Christmas Party too!

SEPTEMBER 27th sounds GREAT!

I will call about the availability of Camp Columbus.

I can handle September very well too. Might even bring along the smoker and get things really smelling good. Ribs go quite well with fish don't ya think.

I was just kidding about having the picnic at christmas since everyone couldn't make the dates suggested.

Picnics are for summer or warm weather, you have april, may and june before it gets miserably hot. Pick any saturday in those months and have it, don't wait untill there is snow on the ground at the end of the year to have it. Just set a date and stick to it.

Doc, your aweful grouchy, if'n you need some fish that bad, just run up to Cheez's house, and make him cook you some! Heck you been suppling him with enough feesh, you should enjoy it too.

I am fine with Sept, I would rather not see a July or Aug date...just too hot man.....

As I said before, what is wrong with april, may, june? These are warm months. There will probably be 50 goat ropings to attend in sept. plus school will be started and kids will have other things to do. Who wants to sit around in insulated coveralls and have a picnic? Picnics are for summer not fall.
