Chatterbait Chattershad (rattle trap type)

Bought one from Dick's because of the commercial for it. Throws like a helicopter on iit's side. Tried to fish it on a 7.1/1 baitcaster reel . It tried to roll continuously with any speed. Just Awful . Anybody tried them?Zach

Unfortunately, when Renosky bought the Chatterbait from Rad Lures the quality of the original chatterbait went downhill...Sounds like more of the same here.

Isn't Renosky the company that makes the BANJO minner? That's just great they'll take a decent product like the Chatterbait and make an awful product.

IMO StrikeKing's Chatterbait is just as good if not better. At least I'm catching fish with it... One of my son's friends bought the Banjo minnow. You should have seen the size of box of emoBadLanguage he got in the mail. It was beyond comical. Sad'er thing was it actually caught fish.... for HIM. I wouldn't touch it.

I love the Chatterbaits but have not tried the new models. Can't get the old ones off my rods long enough. And the Banjo Minnow will absolutely catch fish.

The Original ChatterBait has always worked great for me after some changing to the blade. Straight out of the box is bad either.
