Got out with Mike Sunday evening from about 1:45 to around 7 or so. We started fishing some grass, moved to a hump, tried deeper water and just moved around. Very nice evening, water temp 81-82 so still pretty warm. Light wind, plenty of sunshine and water clarity very clear. I caught our first fish on a shaky head worm on a hump in about 10' of water. We moved around a lot and couldn't get a pattern established. Finally ended on a steep bank and Mike put it on me catching 6 to just one more for me so we ended the day with 8 bass. Nothing real big but several 2 - 2 1/2 lb fish. All looked really healthy, most were fat getting ready for winter already. All fish caught on shaky or t-rigged soft plastics. I always enjoy spending time with Mike, we've been close friends for over 50 years and it was great to get caught up. Saw 2jigs at the ramp and it was nice to speak to him. My story is that the water will cool off some more and the fishing, at least for me will pick up. I want to get in a free plug, if you're in the market for a real nice 21' Bass boat take a look at my Skeeter FX21 in the boats for sale page on this forum. Be careful and good fishing!
