Only way to be sure is by a taste.....non-ethanol gas is dryer on the palette and has a slightly less smoky bouquet with just a hint of spice.

Never actually looked at it before Poured some out and couldn't remember if our grandson has already added oil because of the color and found this post. Guess he hadn't emoLaugh

Thanks for the tip. I tried your test and well I seem to be having some health issues, I'm sure it is just a coincidence. I see three of everything, can't remember anything, and find myself chasing fuel trucks all over town. Oh well, nothing to worry about I'm sure. If my attorney contacts you I'm sure you can set him at ease (LOL).

(Disclaimer- of course I'm just having fun but you know, in the litigation crazy times that we live --- you just never know when you put something out in public what some gullible person will do. When the YouTube video hit that you could charge your I-phone in 5 seconds by putting it in the microwave on high - there were people who blew their phones up)

If you guys are serious about testing for ethanol it's easy. All you need is a couple inches of water in a water bottle, draw a line around the bottle to mark the water level, fill the rest of the bottle with gas, put the lid on and shake it up, let it sit for a little while and the water and gas will separate. If the water line rises it has ethanol in it because the ethanol will separate from the gas and combine with the water. If the water level stays the same it is pure gas. If you are skeptical get some gas you know to have ethanol in it and give it a try.
