I'm with Doc on this one. I see that it is quite alright to post pictures of barges, jet skiers, overloaded boats, and pleasure boaters being idiots on the water, but we can't post pictures of other fisherman that do not have any courtsey? I don't quite understand the problem with someone posting a picture of something that upsets them. If there are no concequences for someone with no courtsey, there will be no changes and they will continue to do the same things.

Moderators, what is wrong with posting these idiots picturs on this site, why does everyone want to sugar coat everything that happens? How are these people going to be taught a lesson in courtisy? I say take their pictures and paste them everywhere. An idiot is an idiot is an idiot. This site seems so intent of saying anything, afraid they will ruffle someone's feathers.

you got that right. Today's society is easily offended. I have bit my tounge on many occasions, and I have cussed people out on many more.

Guys, Personally I hate it is as much as you guys do but I also realize that having those kind of posts opens CFF up to lawsuits for condoning it, also the poster could be held liable in the event of a lawsuit. I would hate it much more if CFF ceased to exist because we posted pictures of morons who have no courtesy.

Even though I am all for posting the pictures, we don't need lawsuits thrown out on here. I say at least post a description of the boat and we all have a guessing game on who it is.

Sounds like we're about 50/50 here. I took photos of one of the boats yesterday that got tooooo close without saying a word but I'll keep them to myself. Seeing the thread a few days ago of the 8 people in the 12 ft john boat that was posted is what got me thinking, and Ive discussed it with a few folks. I think the guys in the boat were wondering why I was taking thier Pic but it didnt seem to bother them too much.

My brother (fishmedic) and I were fishing a few weeks back and were on a pretty big school of fish on a channel ledge. We had been there probably and hour and we noticed a light colored blue boat like an older model fishing ski run up to about 100 yrds away then idle right to us. He went to the shallow side of the ledge, not the river side, about 5 yrds away from us as he went by he hits the waypoint marker on the GPS. he did not make any attempt to even hide it. I fired a cast over in front of him as he approached to say hey i am here but he did not care. This IDOIT goes by us maybe 30 yrds, shuts down and begins fishing toward us.

We discuss taking his picture then and posting it. We did not because i figured it was someone from here.

good rule of thumb and you are closer than 3 casts lengths you are too close! If i am on them and not in a tournament (and even sometimes when i am) i will wave you to come on in. I have done that many times. BS and I even told a guy a few weeks ago what to throw and told him exactly where.

But if someone gets that close you might find a DD22 coming across the boat.

People usually seem to avoid the places that I fish. I always figured it was for one of two reasons.........1. They know that there are no fish within 100 yards of me or 2. My total lack of personal hygiene forces everyone to keep their distance.

It's gotta be one or both.

This is really funny to me now but when it happened I wanted to strangle the guy. Below the dam, I was fishing the wing wall and was sitting about 20 yards from where the current flows by it. I had been there 1/2 the day, making the exact same cast..to the edge of the current and then back down the wall. Some guy pulls up and watches me for a few minutes and then asked if they were biting. I said they were so he pulled about 15 yards ahead of me and chunked his anchor. I'm sure I looked crazy with my jaw laying on the front of my boat, but I continued to cast past him and made sure that my lure even splashed him several times. Apparently he never got the picture so I left, lol.

The barge and overloaded boat were not posted because those boats were being rude to a fisherman, they were safety issues, IMO.

#2 doesn't slow anyone down....trust me, I know hehe

As much as I hate those idiots, opening the door for everyone to post pictures of people that they deem discourteous would lead to a lot of problems. I'm pretty patient with most folks, but I do blow up on some people every now and then. I have fished with and near some people, however, that think it is unacceptable for others to fish within sight of them. I am absolutely as courteous as I can be to others on the water, but I'm sure I unknowingly do things from time to time that make somebody mad. All I'm saying is I don't want my mug plastered on this site because of something stupid that I did accidentally. I say show them what you're fishing with... by casting it right across their noses.

Glad to see everyone having a problem with it not just me. I had a boat come in on me wed.night ,got so close and then started casting in my direction that our cast were over lapping. His excuse was there is no tournament going on and its a community hole.Community hole means everyone knows about it ,ther still needs to be respect on someone sitting there first. We are all spending a ton of money on gas just to be out there just to have a good evening of fishing messed up by some jerk who cant find another spot.

I called TWRA a few years ago about boats, usually ski boats coming so close they would put water in my boat, they said all i could do was take pics , get the hull number, and file a complaint. I dont know if you could file a complaint on being crowded or not, but I do know that they can legally run you out of a marina or away from a privately owned dock even if you are in a public water way. So i dont know why you couldn't file a complaint with TWRA. Probably wouldn't do any good, most of the peolpe who do stuff like that are not going to care reguardless of what you do. emoBang

YOU THINK VAN DAM CARES IF YOUR FISHING THERE?HE WILL PULL RIGHT IN ON YA TO.SEEN IT HAPPEN ALOT ON THESE DEEPER LAKES IN THE SOUTH.THINK ABOUT IT.

Next time I see Van Dam, or anyone competeing for a million dollar purse, Ill yield to them. We're just talking about common courtesy here. I guess theres not much of that left in the world. I was always taught to keep a good distance from others when your fishing or hunting. Hope Van Dam doesnt use that same practice in the Dove field. I wont get offended in the future when this happens, apparently it must be Ok. I guess its me that needs to change. When I was a kid and working at Red Food store, we were required to be nice and practice common courtesy with others and if you wanted to keep your job, you had to do it. Now you can go to a restaurant or store and the person working the register will just stare at you, as if YOU had some sort of problem. I guess that type of behavior has infiltrated the word of outdoor sports as well.

I absolutely hate rudeness on the water. Just Tuesday afternoon Cheez and me had a high powered bass boat with two guys in it zoom by us at a very high speed and he came within 20 feet of us. A big ole wide open lake and this jerk has to get that close going that fast. As for fishing crowded areas the Nuke discharge is mild compared to the chaos in the Boca Grande pass, Fla. during the tarpon run in May and June.

I really would love to expose the idiots of the waters on a public forum but I also know about the laws governing slander. Next time grab your camera and ask them to smile....then tell em that their goin to be famous on the internet for being rude.

Whether its their right or not, its just a break down in common courtesy. I'm not going to crowd someone on a lake..if I see someone fishing the side of the channel, I go to the other side or slow as I pass through, I believe in being respectful of others and I have no more right on the water than the next guy.But on the flip side of that coin, neither does anyone else have any more right on the water than me. If someone comes close to me while I'm fishing..I'll put a DD22 in the boat with em. I would ratherhaul water all day long before crowding a man on a hole he was fishing before me, community or not, tournament or not. And if I wouldn't do it to someone else..I surewon't stand for it being done to me.

Guess its time for some rain on this thread.
I for one cant stand people doing that tyo me and I would never think of doing that to another unless I know them!

Now, as for pics and registration numbers on here..its not gonna happen. We dont need lawsuits and slander issues on CFF. Seems most of you realize that and I hope the rest of you will. As much as it sucks having poeple out there do those things, its not much better slandering them with pics online.
Thanks
