thinking of starting a once a month livebait tx (12). rotating between; below nickajack, the riverpark, and below watts bar. i will try to set the times in the winter to midday.the times in the summer to late afternoons, and the spring and fall tourneys to mornings(4or5 hours each).around 20$ a boat (5$bf), 3 fish limit. I have had a lot of fun at live bait tx in the past and understand that you cant get enough support for one every week. but hopefully we can get enough for once a month. any suggestions will be appreciated and taken with serrious consideration. thank you.

I've been kicking the idea around as well and have mentioned it several times on here.......Would love to travel with the live bait just to see how each lake really stacks up. You run into some opposition with the Tournament Anglers who fish strictly artificial (they like to cast and cast). But for those of us who like to catch fish, lots of fish and (BIG FISH) then this is the format for them. I know several people that would support a Live Bait Tournament. Let me know if I can be of help. There are several people posting on here that use live bait year round JIG, Whissler11, Dhaun and the list goes on and on once you get one or two under your belt I think you could get a following of fishermen and an understanding of where the bait goes during the summer and winter months and how to obatin the threadfin year around.

bfg. what do you think about the third saturday of every month? if i recall correctly i was in a live bait tx with a bunch from heatec 2 years ago , and you won that tourney. how many live bait tx do you fish in a year? should we think every other month? i would like to make it where in the summer we will fish late afternoons etc . where the weather isnt such a hinderance. winter would be midday. you get the picture. many points have to be worked out; when, where, ramp, limit, entry fee etc. could use some ideas. when you fish in tournaments it doesnt matter if youre fishing artificial, live or a plain hook it still takes skill.
