I'm planning on fishing Guntersville (I've got G'itis) this Saturday and will be putting in at Jackson County Park. Aside from North Sauty and possibly Goosepond, are there any other hot spots I should check into? I'm not looking for GPS coordinates, just wanting to narrow down my search time on an immense amount of weedy flats.

There are always some hogs in the park also known as the Roseberry area. You could spend all day in that park and never hit it all. I have heard of a few people catching the fish on traps back in there. Also when you get to the mouth, those flats and humps produce fish year round. If the wind is not bad I would definitely hit that flat that runs from the park all the way up to Comer Bridge.

gnasty can be a dreaded disease. but one that most folks don't mind gettingemoThumbsup emoThumbsup as for jackson cty park. i agree that you could spend a whole day in there and never fish all you need to. a few places i would suggest. when you launch @the ramp do a 180 and fish the pocket directly across from the ramp. another place is the last pocket on the left in the back of the creek before you go under the bridge.(edwin evers won here a couple of yrs ago) be careful though those little white markers you'll see are not channel markers(GREAT BIG STUMPS)ouchemoBang another place to check out is the ditch just before you hit the river on the left going out its on the map' also this time of the yr might be a good idea to run the backside of the miracle mile all the way to bb comer and fish the backside and outside ledges. i think most of these places are common knowledge (i appologize if i sold out someones secret holes) but produce fish yr after yr for me and lots of other folks.good luck and tight lines dunk
p.s. that info will cost you exactly $2900.00 dollarsemoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh

Just a heads up, there's a Tri-Lakes tourney out of there Saturday. It will probably have 40-45 boats. They don't blast off til 7:00 though.

What is the "Miracle Mile" that I keep hearing about? Is that the flat leading up to the Comer bridge?</p>

Where was Ike fishing last year when he won the Bassmaster's event? I can recall a bridge in the background.

Do be careful inside the park its self. If you go out of the channel markings, beware that there are stumps everywere. I fished in there Tuesday eve and found 3 that weren't marked. Alot of them are marked in the backwaters, especially around the boat houses.
