If you guys that fry alot of fish or use a turkey fryer to cook anything are looking for deals, check out Sams right now. They have Clear Fry oil for $22+ per bucket. Peanut oil is still $50+ per, so I wont touch that, its just not worth the extra money. MHO
 
Thanks for the tip Spur. I need a few jugs for the upcoming BOC gathering. I am with you on the peanut oil. Not worth the extra money whatsoever.

Ditto. Good advice on the oil also. I have been using peanut oil exclusively.
 
Spur, have you ever used the 'Creamy liquid shortening' from SAMS?...it has a smoke point of 450 and seems to do pretty allright with fish....about half the price of peanut.
