Here's a thought I just had (too late for this deep freeze) - can/will the fuel/water separator installed on a boat have enough water in it to freeze and keep the boat from running, or for that matter freeze and burst? I didn't change mine this fall (it is at least a year old) and the boat is kept outside, where it is more prone to getting condensation in the tank.

Anyone with any unfortunate experience with this (yet)?

Good question.....Is it an auto type spin -on filter ??? I would think that unless it is plumb full of water it would probably be OK....Be a good time to bring it in and thaw it out though. May be enough gas and additive chemicals in it to keep it from freezing. I never did find very much in my spin on ...even after a year

Yep, it's a spin-on. I'm almost afraid to go look 'cause I've been in contact with Spurhunter in the last week............. emoEek

Would be simple to remove and pour into a glass container and let sit for a little while and see if it has any water in it. If not, I would put it back on and keep a check on it.
