Never liked Gander since I went into one the first time in Denver over 10 years ago. Full retail $ on everything like others are saying.

I bet Cabela's is next to close shop around here. I've had pitiful customer service at that place.

One of the biggest problems that most stores have is Staff that is not very knowledgeable about the goods they are selling. SW has always been the opposite of that. They actually hire people that know stuff about the products they are selling. I don't mean to generalize but I bet I'm not the only one that has felt like this. Gander coming in the first place was not a great move.

That's a great point CRUSH3R. I think Charlie has worked at SW for around six years. If you need help finding something or have a question he'll tell you what he thinks is good or a certain item that he uses. He's helped me with everything from lures to rods. He goes out of his way to help the customer.

I don't mind paying a little more at SW and I much prefer shopping there!

FYI, I got an email from gander mountain today saying there's a liquidation sale at the Chattanooga store starting now. Anyone been there lately?
