There is a invisible barrier at hiwassee island that blocks the nutrients needed for grass growth from entering the lower lake. Dont believe me go to Armstrong ferry and look for yourself. Grass everywhere.

Hiwassee , no grass there either. Looking like contaminants from industry could be to blame. Can usually smell nasty s--- coming off the water all over that river. Very offensive. It was real bad last fall. On down river too. I remember about 2 years ago, there was a lethal Sulfer Dioxide spill up at I 75. The media came out with it an mentioned "It was a good thing there was no one on the water up there at the time. Could have been real bad". That got swept under the rug.

Yea last year MAY 31st I remember very well caught a 10lb 13oz. I was slow playing a 3/4 oz lipless off the grass that was established I promise cause all night I would get so close to the dock n just have to reel in and clean!
