I own costas, smith, Oakleys, Maui jims and others. Many years coaching in the sun and now fishing. People will disagree with my opinion but...
costas have great glass. I have both the 580p and 580g. The glass is better but they are heavy and leave the bridge of my nose sore after a long day. They also don't seem to have a frame that fits my face well. The wind gets under them and pulls tears out of my eyes when running on the lake. So the Costas are in my old Bronco and never go in my boat anymore.
Maui jims were great for a polycarbonate lens but the rubber nose and ear pieces seem to melt away after a few months. I have two pair and both have been sent back for repair multiple times. I now just leave them in my wife's car.
Revo has been my all around favorite and only cost me $50 bucks on sale. They stay in my truck and go kayak fishing with me. Very comfortable and very nice polycarbonate lens. Nothing bad to say about them.
In my boat glove box are Smith Optics guide sunglasses. They have as good of lenses as anyone and they have a built in retainer cord so they don't fall in the lake easily. They are also a little larger so they block the wind very well while running. That is the main reason they beat out the Revos. The lens is actually so large they look a little funny but for fishing I don't really care about the look as much as the functionality.
Yes I have way too many sunglasses.
