Humminbird Mega 360

I hope I can explain what I am experiencing with subject. Here we go, Johnny installed 360 earlier this year and I could not be happier. As far as I could tell it worked great. However, the last couple of times I fished, prior to deer season, it did not work as intended. I would line myself up on a target and knew without a doubt the brush pile, rocks, structure or whatever was dead ahead. However, the display on unit did not indicate or show same. At one point, target may be starboard side, port or even aft. Now, I understand that even with spot lock your boat moves. I always try to make a reference point or landmark ashore in relation to target. I thought I would see if anyone has experienced same before notifying Humminbird.
