Hello fellow anglers,
I live over in Dayton TN and I am finding out that the low water levels in certain areas such as mine seem to either make it to shallow to launch a boat. I just re-retired and from a job that took all of my time and kept me from getting out. When I could, either weather or this shallow launch issue has again kept me from my love of fishing. Just looking for some anglers opinions on where there are places to launch that the water levels stay consistent. Don't know all of the areas well enough to know if this is possible. I have a 16ft semi v jon and a 16ft pontoon boat. What I ran into last weekend was when you get the boat down the ramp, the water was about a foot or so deep all the way until it ended and then a little drop off. Spoke with some locals and they said that the water will not be up until mid May. So if anyone can recommend launches that you can safely get your boat in and out I would sure appreciate any responses. I'm willing to go to Chattanooga, Soddy, Hixson over to Spring City out that way. Just would like nice safe ramps and area and not go to one, find out it's too low and spend half a day or more looking for another launch. Thanks for any info. I saw this forum from another post I was reading so I signed up. Thanks

I will throw the first one out, Chester Frost, I have launched at Richland Creek in Dayton many times in the winter, never any problems.

Thanks for the info. So is Chester Frost the launch? Found that one googling it but not Richland Creek. RC showed up on map down past Blue Resort at mouth to Channel. Just wondering. Thanks

Richland Creek is in Dayton, Chester Frost off Hixson Pike in Chattanooga. Chester Frost is large and easy to launch.
