Well we can point fingers all we want to. The fact remains that the democrats have all the marbles and things are still getting worse. No matter what the Republicans do or don't do the ones in power are the ones who will take the hit come November. Just like when the economic mess started. Bush was in charge so his party took the hit in 2008. Even though he and the Republicans had little if anything to do with the problems.

Well beetlespin lets hear the Republican idea for creating jobs. Tax cuts corporations maybe? Lets get right to it. that is pretty much the Republican's economic agenda from the past, present, and future. Democrats are wanting to cut taxes on Middle class. In return middle class will spend more increasing demand and production which creates jobs. Until people start buying more, suppliers are not going to hire more workers to produce more.

So it is Clintons fault. haha your really stretching it now. Bush had 8 years, but yet accomplished very little to nothing.

Well it all turned right back to square one. Lets all take one hand extend it forward in any direction and say well its all there fault. I don't give a darn about whose or whom 's fault it is, Quit pointing fingers and cowboy up and take responsibility for your role in this country. We have a problem and we need to get some one into office that will do something for the people. I don't care if you are democrate or republican , We as a people are going to have to look at the person that we are voting for and vote the person and not the party. Straight line party voting isn't going to work and never will because we need the different ideas to come up with the best. Talk to the people you vote for and let them know what we want. Oh by the way those things you sign and send on the internet never gets to the person.
Any person that posts on here that has not regestered to vote has no right to complain. It takes votes to make change so lets work together. What say ye.

Getting more Democrats in office in November will help, Every piece of legislation that Obama tries to pass requires a super majority. Then the Republicans want to sit back and say he is not doing anything, and not fulfilling promises. Republicans are the ones not reaching out with anykind of solutions. If they are I would like to hear them. Truth is I don't think Republicans want things to improve. I think they are doing everything they can to stagnate the economy until midterm elections. Wait and see, probably when Republicans get congress back, watch and see. What is bad now will be great then. Have seen this dog and pony show before.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said or even thought about Clinton. As usual you have no idea what you are talking about and just trying to stir up crap.

Obviously you need more guidance as to the point of my post (typical)

All I was saying is that no matter who is in charge they will either get credit or blame with the good or the bad. Always been that way and always will.

So what if it takes a super majority? You libs have it. If olbumer and his accomplisses ideas are so great then get it done. Fact is that the ideas are not so great. The demonrats want someone to blame when their ideas fail. They won't pass this stuff because if they do then they will all go down in flames. I think the Republicans are being real smart letting the commie libs hang themselves. November will prove this out. Republicans will be back in control of both houses and olbummer will be forced away from his radical socialist agenda. Just like slick willie was in '96

Your side has the votes. I say put up or shut up. No more excuses.

We have a very simple majority, Republicans need to keep on doing what they are doing. Should have learned their lesson in 95.

The republicans are proving to the USA that they are the party of "NO", they are going to block everything in sight to prove their point. When the next election rolls around and if they get a bigger toehold, they still will block everything in sight, They will never have anything meaningful to bring up to vote on and in the mean time the USA suffers, more and more get out of work, more and more lose their houses, more and more won't have health insurance or they will lose what they have because they are not employed. They won't vote for anykind of job creation. Do you think that john q publick can't see this? The ones that back these do nothing republicans are probably employed but your time is coming, your jobs will run out also and when you are in rags standing in the soup and bread lines, be sure and say we sure showed those democrats a few things. Mark my words, it is coming and you have no one to blame but your selves.

Hmmm....

Nah Obama will never let me get that bad off... I just think its funny how you must have spent your "stimulus" money on calling the psychic hotline and already know that even if the repubs get the majority nothing good is gonna happen blah blah. Yet you refuse to admit that thus far we have yet to see improvements in the way things are going since all the change was supposed to happen. What if the republicans do get the majority and things turn around?? Will it be because Obama is president or because the Democratic congress laid the groundwork? I could care less who you think should get the credit for it or who gets the blame. It just needs to get better for everyone suffering from this crap. I have been very fortunate to keep plenty of work in this junk but I get calls daily from friends looking for anything to do to make some money. So who cares what party any candidate is affiliated with as long as they have a plan that at least sounds logical. Whats going on now isnt helping the people that really need it. If you would like for me to explain to you exactly where the majority of the 144 billion is going that was set aside for the infrastructure stimulus thing is going I can certainly oblige you on that as well.

You all crack me up!! Obama and Bush are one in the same....neither one has done a damn thing to help OUR country. I don't have the answers for a fix, but throwing money at the problem is not going to do anything but dig our hole deeper.

Everything that happens to this country has to be voted on and passed, the way it is now plenty can get voted on but nothing passed. If you were president and look ahead for the votes to pass something and find out they are not there, why vote on it? BTW, everyone out of a job now or about to lose their jobs are democrats and republicans and indipendants. It is a we situation, we all loose.

This blaming the Republicans for nothing getting done is REALLY cracking me up. How in the world can you guys say this junk. Your party has the power and votes to pass anything you want even if every Republican in the country says no.

Once again I say; THE DEMOCRATS HAVE ALL,ALL,ALL,ALL,ALL,ALL THE POWER. YOU CANNOT DENY THIS.

PUT UP OR SHUT UP!!!!!

well If they put it on the floor ....then the Rebublicans will talk it to death....
It` called a fillibuster !
better to reach some kind of compromise and get something that will pass
But the Repubs plan is to gridlock till November and hope for the best

You know, there are times when nothing is better than something... Do any of you really believe the govt can spend our way out of this? Hell we spent our way into this mess. In Europe the govt had a car program like cash for clunkers last year just way bigger. Now that those programs have ended car orders are falling like a rock. We are about to see the backlash that happens after govt programs. And believe it or not, what happens over there matters here.

How fast were things suppose to improve. Lets use the lock at Chick for example. It took a year after the money for the lock was appropriated, before any real work even started. It will be this year before any real work begins on alot of the projects that the stimulas money was appropriated for. The loans to banks and others is already being paid back. The economy has leveled off and shows signs of improving. Anyone that has an unterstanding of economics knows there is a lag time after a recession before the economy usually begins to improve. If things are not very much improved by this time next year I will be very suprised.
