I am looking at adding livewell vents to my livewell lids. I am looking for ways to help decrease bass mortality during the hot months. I have read all the articles and I am familiar with the ice, rejuv, salt and recirculation techniques. I read Rogne Brown's article and it was excellant. Maybe I can go one step further. These vents make sense they decrease the temperature and CO2 buildup as the boat moves. Naturally the company swears by there product. They are sending me a free system to try out the bad news is you now have 3 inch diameter holes in your livewell lids so it is a done deal. Anyone out there with the product on their boats? It is from New Pro Products and it is called a V-T2 Livewell Ventilator. emoBang emoBang

I could see it helping .. I looked at their web site .. but 45 for 2 ? holly crap .. they are basically pvc pipe with a lid that flares up in front and back, let air in and out .. If I had a live well Id just make them my self for about 5 bucks for both .. but if they are gonna send you some for free then why not
