Map Study get together 2008

We haven't had a map study get together in quite a while. I was thinking that sometime in the next couple of weeks might not be a bad time to try to swing one. For all of you that haven't been on the forum very long, every once in a while a group of us get together to share info as to what we look for on the topographic maps of area waters to find fish. We usually don't use the maps of Chickamauga or Nickajack because we don't want anyone to accidentally give away one of their secret spots. The Mad Bomber has all the equipement to project maps that we bring to the study and maps that we can get on line or from a CD or wherever. We usually meet at an eating establishment and project on the wall. It would be nice to have an idea how many people we can expect on a given night. If you are interested in meeting some evening for an hour or two to meet some of us from the forum and share some info and hopefully recieve some good info please post your name here. If you have any other questions please post them also.

Wow, that's a bunch of response faster than I expected. I have PM'd MB to see if it's a possibility in the near future. FA, would you get in touch with MB for me as I don't have his number and I don't see him post much so it may be a couple of days before he sees the PM. In the past we have had it at Rib and Loin on 153 in Hixson because they have made it easy for us and they are happy for the business. Usually we have it on a weekday night and so it's usually slow at the restaurant. We have guys that have been reading maps their whole lives come and some that have never even thought about using a map and have been bank beaters their whole lives. It has been great to be able to put a face with a screen name too. I'll try to firm something up with MB as soon as possible and if he can't do it, if there is someone else that has a projector that can be connected to a computer that can help out that would work too.

Is there a day of the week that is bad for anyone. If there is a bad day I would try not to pick that day. Maybe we can do it a day next week. I will call Rib and Loin and see if there is a day of the week that works out best for them. I may ask too if we could get a discount if we guarantee a certain number of people. I'll work on it. Right now I have interest from 16 people and I would expect that there will be some more will sign on and maybe some that can't make it last minute. I'll see what they say.
