I'm in Memphis, covering the Mississippi River Monsters catfish tournament. 184 boats hit the river this AM. Here's a preview from yesterday, including shots of a TRUE River Monster!

Teams can weigh 5 fish, two over 34 inches, 3 under. It'll likely take between 150 - 200 lbs. to win. Will be a fun weigh-in at the Bass Pro Pyramid.

That's pretty cool. I miss all the big catfish post that we used to see on the forum. We need to bring back the Hall of Fame and I bet we would get more reports! So Richard, how in the world are these guys going to keep 5 giants in a live well in their boats? Wonder if Mike Mitchell is in that tournament

I've seen some incredible boats... my 17-foot G3 would fit inside some of them. Big livewells, many of them aerated with pure oxygen. And one thing REALLY great about this tournament. They allow weigh-in all day long so if folks catch a big one they don't think they can keep alive, they can bring it in, weigh it for their official weight and immediately release it. I thinks that's awesome and I know a few big fish have already been weighed in... biggest I know of so far is 42 lbs., but there will be bigger fish. I'm betting on it. I'm not sure if Mike is here or not?
