Not nearly as many as others, but I've killed plenty of deer. However I'm not gonna to lie. I am really proud of this deer because it is my very FIRST deer taken while I was hunting out my backdoor, sitting on my very own land.

We moved to a 10-acre tract in North Hamilton County in the summer. Not another house or building in sight and plenty of deer around. I actually passed up a couple of does last week - shots that just didn't really feel right.

But this one felt very right. Iron sights, .54 caliber round ball at 45 yards. He dropped in his tracks.

Not gonna lie again... I hauled him back to the house (up a very steep ridge) with my riding lawnmower. emoLaugh

I wish there was a video of you hauling him with the mower. That’d be gold!

Yep, I missed a great opportunity. Didn't occur to me that is sort of unusual. :(

I can sit on my couch and shoot thru the door at the herd that hangs around.
Not that I do.
