I finally got me a boat. I got a 1979 brooks bullet with a 1984 mercury 150. I am replacing the floor and carpet this week and doing a few other things to it. I will post before and after pictures of it.
GOOD DEAL THERE GA FISHERMAN....ONE OF THE EARLY ORIGINAL BASSBOATS....I REMEMBER WHEN THEY STARTED SHOWING UP IN KNOXVILLE....BEST I REMEMBER THOSE HAVE THE CUT-AWAY SPONSONS ON THE OUTSIDES...HOW LONG IS IT ??SEEMS THEY THEY MADE SOME OF THE EARLY 17-18 FOOTERS..
FRIEND OF MINE FISHED WITH MR BROOKS QUITE A BIT YEARS AGO..
Its a 17 footer. Tonight a bunch guys and I worked for about six hours and got the floor almost completly replaced. Tomorrow we are going to get the carpet in and put a new ignition switch in. I got some pictures so I will post them and them post some more next week when I get it all cleaned up.
<font color="#ff0066">Hey GaF.... one word of caution.... with the 150 on it..BE CAREFUL... I had a 19 footer and it took me about 3 months to learn how to drive the Bullet...DON'T LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL...SHE TORQUES TO THE RIGHT REAL HARD...lol AND NO, I DID NOT DO THAT...it just took a long time getting used to.... before the Bullet I had a 115 merc and it was so simple... just thought I would give my .02 worth..
