+1 on the Tremont Tavern comment. Very good burgers and so big you need to cut them in half just to get started. Plus they offer a unique assortment of burger styles and always have a different burger of the month. Can't beat them IMO.
Not sure of the address. Really easy to get to though. On Hixson Pike roughly a mile from Veterans Bridge. Right across from the Riverview neighborhood and Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. And Tremont's burgers beat Urban Stack's hands down in my opinion.
agree with niki's, if you are between rossville or ft. oglethorpe armando's has a very good burger and onion rings, they were voted best burger in north ga.!!!!!!!!!! I think its the third year in a row too.
K here is my 2 cents worth .Kevin Browns is the best around to me .The shake shac a friend of mine and he use to be a member on here owns and runs it .And it is very good also .And one I havent seen mentioned in Cleveland is the Classic country kitchen on the by pass ,The RT gutbuster is one huge burger .But if you want a little bigger the Tennessee tornado will be more than enough .I have ate at these places alot And they all are very good to me .Would like to try some of the old little burger joints everyone is talkin about.
I'm with kickinbass on this. That Tennessee Tornado is a huge burger. Me and a buddy of mine went in to have a competition. We both got the Tennessee Tornado, I got mine with everything and he got his with bacon and cheese only. We both also had corn and fries too. I downed my entire meal in 8 min flat and he came in at just over 9 min. It was a lot of fun and I challenge anyone to beat my time of 8 min to eat the burger and 2 sides!
Mervs at the base of signal mt, right off of signal mt rd has some killer burgers. They'll clog your arteries right up...thats what I look for in a burger. Haha
I have kind of wondered if the Southern Burger Co. is hurting some. I never got any ad material in the mail until just here recently. Those expensive little burgers might be catching up with them. I never did hear from their company after writing them. I did not think I would. Telling them their burgers are too small would be a total change in the way they do business if they were to try and make them bigger. I would bet now that the newness has worn off the lack of traffic in their place is catching up with them. emoScratch Around here there are too many people just like me expecting a Sounthern Burger to actually fill you up and not leave you wanting. emoTskTsk Jmax
Universal Joint across from Hamilton County courthouse isn't to bad. Of course with it being downtown it will run u around the $10 range, but that includes fries or tots.
