Tom (trbr81) invited me to fish Riverpark with him and we had a great time. This was my first fishing trip with Tom and I enjoyed it very much, hope it is the first of many to come. We boated 25 fish total. Started fishing about 3:30 pm and fished until about 7:30 - 7:45 pm. Air temp was middle 80s, a sunny beautiful afternoon. Water flow was around 10K and water temp was 66 to 70 degrees. All fish were caught on finesse worms, green pumpkin varieties the best color. Presentation was bottom oriented and slow. We caught fish from right at the bank to on out into 10 - 12' of water or maybe a little deeper. The stage the fish are at is hard to read. We don't think the main wave of spawners has happened yet although the water is certainly warm enough. I hope these pictures come through. Tom got a very nice 6 lb LM and I managed the pictured decent spot. We caught all three black bass species, LM, spot, and a few smallies. It was a very good trip. Tom is an excellent fisherman with a very nicely equipped Ranger. He is also a very gracious host, I enjoyed his company. More and more people are getting out on the water so everyone be safe, wear your PFD, use your kill switch, and look at for the other person. Also remember that there will be increasing numbers of kayaks (hard to see in between waves), paddle boarders, and kids being pulled on tubes. Let's all work hard keeping our heads and eyes up and on the water, be sensible about our speed and boat spacing, and have a fishing / boating season without any tragedies on our local lakes.
