It comes as no surprise that the Affordable Care Act that we all have been effected by in one way or another is again having major price increases for 2017. Just saw where they announced that there will be a increase in costs of an average of 16.6% for individual and in some cases as low as 8% for Family plans. emoBang It was just last year they were saying it would probably go down as more people came on board. As usual, more lies. emoDoh I have been saying from it's conception that the affordable care act was a joke. There is nothing affordable about it. It was intended to help low income families get the help they needed for medical care. In fact the same families it was suppose to help have not been able to afford it and the administration has admitted this flaw. They just don't make enough to pay for it and still have enough to pay their everyday bills. Then the folks who were forced to buy into it that lost their policies that they had before all this crap happened have been forced to pay higher premiums and deductibles. Then some just went without opting to pay the tax...ah...I mean penalty for not having insurance. emoMad
Premiums too high, deductibles too high, coverage sucks, you never actually get much out of it unless you have a major claim and even then you could go broke trying to use it. You know when the government says it is a great program but all government agencies are not going to participate, that is a problem. emoHoppingmad I can guarantee you that if the same government people who are stuffing this down the American people's throats had to use it the policies and outcome of how good it actually was would be far better. Over the years I have seen any time "The government" say don't do as I do but do as I say. That is a pure sign the topic in which they are talking is going to screw you. emoCrazy
I still believe this whole thing is going to self implode but when I have no idea. As more insurers bail on participating the chances of it happening sooner increases. If Hillary gets into the White House it will be probably four more years of it but even with her the Affordable Care Act is going to have to be modified if it has any chance of surviving. We have had eight years of this crap, time to try something else. emoBadLanguage Jmax
