Now I know why I see boats coming in and out of the industrial park!!!  I thought maybe there was a secret hole down the street I didnt know about

From the looks of the traffic.... i would say you are a busy man Mr. Nichols!</p>

Most days we're pretty busy...from April through October were are normally swamped. We do a lot of machine work for marine dealers all over the US. Come by and see me sometime...

Paul

Unfortunately.... I wont be in the industrial park much longer. Our building out at Enterprise South is almost done

Did you turn the rod at all while the foot was off ?

Already fixed .. thanx to Paul Nichols and his mechanic for his generosity of thier time to help out a fellow CFF member!
But after seeing what they did I now know what I didnt and couldnt find in any book or online.. I was looking at the side with the screw I figured rod just slide into a slot that would align the hole with the screw since I couldnt see the hole in the rod. I was soo worried and frustrated with getting the screw back in .. it aint easy getting a socket on that screw! emoBang .. but after watching them as an observer .. I finnaly saw the rod and the hole .. never even occured to me to look on the other side of the engine below where the screw was .. then lo and behold there is the stupid rod! another secret is to take the lock nut of of the shift rod .. so that the shifter can be moved back and forth with out the cable attached .. makes it sooo much easier to align the screw in the hole!
