Here goes. The feds had a pre-approved plan to boom and burn in the event of a catastrophic oil spill. Wasn't in acted. Why? Jindal asked days in advance for permits to dredge and build up sand to stop oil infiltration into Louisiana marshlands. Permits never given. Why? Obama Waited 50 some odd days to contact BP head officials. Why? Coast Guard stopped LA barges from oil cleanup operations to do a life jacket check. Why? We were offered help by up to 13 other countries for containment\cleanup. Obama said no thanks. Why? This of course is not to mention the mess that will be created by the Federally ran 20 billion relief fund that is being trumpeted. Our gov't is a bureaucratic nightmare. They don't know whether to scratch their watch or wind their A$$. As far as the Republicans go they have increased gov't far too much but the road to socialism is much faster with Democrats.

Again you have no idea what you are talking about. I have been hearing the same bull crap in the media. I guess Bp should have just issued and apology instead of the 20 billion. Makes me wonder were you guys come from. You want gov't, but don't. What ever suits you I guess. Snip after all the private sector bull crap you have posted on here I do not know how you can come on here and say anything. As far as Republicans go, if they had not pushed all the wealth of our nation to the top, there would not be a need for socialism, or any other government programs. Corporations main goal is profits, thats it. They do not care about the present or the future, because time is on their side, unlike you or me.

Im not saying that BP shouldn't pay every red cent. I would trust them more than the gov't to give out the 20 billion to the correct victims instead of buying FEMA trailers and storing them in farmers fields for years like they did after Katrina. You can't just say all of my points are bull crap. If they are not true prove it. Your statement that I don't want gov't is false. I want limited gov't. I want a gov't that adheres to our Constitution ie gov't that protects our boarders and our natural resources. There is still no need for Socialism name one country were it has ever been successful. We need a level playing field with low gov't involvement and low taxes then sit back and watch the beauty of capitalism work.

Snip roads, bridges, dams. a modern military, maintaining lakes, national parks, an educated work force, protecting our boarders, natural resouses, and so on is not cheap. Problem with right they think most of the tax dollars go to the poor which is not true. Again, corporations want to maximize profits, if it means benifiting fron an infrustructure with paying lower taxes, they will make every effort to do so. If corporations or rich do not want to pay taxes, reinvest and take the write offs, by the time they take the depretiation they have made money. Unfortunately many do not have that opportunity to increase wealth that way, and have to pay taxes, becauce they cannot afford a bussiness or a big house. or farm where they can take the write offs. As far as a level playing field, there is no such thing.
Protecting the constitution, just because a Democrat is in office does not make it unconstitutional, are you guys going to play that card every time a Democrat is elected. Snip just what do you you know about the Constitution?

So, I guess anyone that votes Republican anymore after two of their Presidents created 8.5 trillion of our debt is a moron. What about the oil spill snip, lets here it about how efficient the private sector is, that is all we have heard from you, talk about hypocricy. As far as McCrystal, you might think it, and you might be right, just don't say it.
As far as a moron goes, look in the mirror.

In the last two years, the debt has almost doubled. We are approaching 14 trillion, and by the time the MIC(moron in charge) gets voted out, I bet it will be more than doubled. I believe charity starts at home, and we need to rebuild the infrastucture of this country, not send billions to Europe to boost their economies. No more bailouts for GM and the like. Sink or swim should be our new motto.

Still waiting on a socialist nation that is or ended up prosperous. Check Mate!

But all the other socialist nations that have failed just did it wrong. Our current "leadership" is gonna do it right.

If our debt had doubled in last two years we would be over 20 trillion. Where did you get that information, or did you just make it up? Rebuild infrustructure, you mean stimulas package, that socalist bill as Republicans would call it. The bailouts, as Republicans call it, actually loans that our being paid back.
Debt was just over 5 trillion when Bush left office, over ten trillion when he left office. You guys are doing everything you can to get another Republican in office. Debt is only a concern when democrats are in office, not once do you here about it when a Republican is in charge. I think they call it hypocricy.

Are you talking about athoritarian socialism or democratic socialism? There are two types.

In that case Canada, the Neatherlands, and most of the rest of the European nations. I am not a socialist however, it is just a term used by the right everytime a Democrat is elected President. If you think Obama is a socalist, Reagan is probably close to a Communist, which is not true either. Reagan was the first Republican of our era to create big government. He took our debt from less than a trillion dollars to almost 4 before he left office. He forced workers that striked back to work with threats of jail time if they did not do so. Again Republicans are ok with screwing the working man, but don't interfere with big business, because when you do so that it is communism. However, threating teachers or air controllers with jail time, I guess is just the right thing to do.

Possum, face the facts. Yes the last President screwed this country up, but this President is following in Bush's foot steps and screwing it even more to the point that we will never get out. Both the Reps. and Dems. have screwed this country up , so stop defending your party, both parties are at fault. The problem with people today is that they won't admit when their party has screwed up, and let me tell you , they both have. Yes ,both President Bush and Obama have gotten us in the mess we are in and if it keeps up , we will never see the end. Are we so blind not to see what's going on.

As far as being blind, why don't you give some specifics about just exactly how Obama has screwed this country, and just what he should have done differently? One more thing, it was not just the polititians that got us into the mess we have been in. I would like to face the facts, problem is what some call facts, are in reality, lies.

Bush was half right. He cut taxes giving $$ back to the people but he spent like crazy! Obama is spending even more and plans to let the Bush tax cuts expire at the end of 2010 which will take more $$ out of circulation. We need to get out of debt even if it means suffering for a while. To do that the govt needs to stop spending so much $$ not increase taxes!

Bush did the same thing Reagan did. So what you are telling me if Obama had not made the loans to banks and auto manufactuers, and unemployment went to 25%, GM goes under and so on you would have been ok with that. I am sure the tax cuts for the millions out of work would have really made a difference. I really believe it would not really matter who was president, no political body would have ever let our country go into a Great Depression. I know this is hard for people to understand, but as we spend, we are also building assets for our childrens future. Lock at the Chick is a good example. You see these people at these ralleys all the time having kids with posters showing how much of the debt they owe, I have never seen one with a sign showing what their share of public holdings is. It would be nice if we had a good grasp of what the taxpayers really own in this country, maybe consumer confidence would be a little higher, and appreciate being able to live here.

They (Republican/Conservatives) didn't get it when FDR was doing the same kinds of things back in the 1930's either

Like I said, you just can't admit and never will that Obama is screwing this country . He has spend all of our money and the money we don't have. Plus he is going to keep spending till the cows come home, he is going to tax our eyes out. More companies will close it doors and more people out on the street. If you believe that the price of gas was high during Bush, wait till the end of this year or middle of next if his energy agenda goes through. By the way, I voted for Obama, but now I regret it 100 %. I really believed in him, but I was fooled. Hope and Change. " I Hope that people don't find out what I'm really going to Change" is what he should of said.

I guess since he has spent all of our money we are done, and I really doubt you voted for Obama. More propaganda, more fear, but thats ok.
