The Federal Trade Commission is reviewing the Bass Pro purchase of Cabelas. It could result in a hold-up of the final sale... and one industry insider says the merger could ultimately have a significant impact on our local stores.

Doe's "significant impact" mean their going to cut the ridiculous prices on crank baits? I know the manufactures have a lot of time invested in dissecting their competitors products to cheery pick the best attributes before sending this information to china to be manufactured for less than a dollar, shipped back here and marked up a few thousand percent. just wondering!

Yeah it's nuts how much things are now! And the problem is I'm not making any more money! I can remember when spro 's seemed SO expensive, but now the competitors are catching up fast! Still can't beat the brand Rattletrap. They already come with my favorite hooks which is a big plus.

Not true. If you look at the spread of the stores. Cabellas is more dominant in the west and bass pro is dominant in the east. Gave them good coverage overall and just and few areas are like ours with both stores. I saw a map with one of the articles in the news.
