I wonder of the guns you own. How many are actually registered?

I own quite a few guns but few are registered as several where traded for or passed down through the family. I just wonder when Obama or the men in black show up, How will they know how many guns I own?

I dont want this to be a political post.

There is NO "registration" in this country....none, nada, zero, zip, zilch.

If you bought a gun through a registered dealer, you filled out a form 4473, and it is kept in the dealers possesion for the term of their license, but ATF, the GVT, federal, state or local does not have a clue what guns you own.

I feel your fears Churls, trust me. I am guilty of inciting more than one person with the "they will take our guns" rhetoric, but personally didn't mean the men in black will go house to house and remove our guns. (not on CFF BTW)

My comments have been directed towards unreasonable and illegal new laws and regulations that have been proposed to eliminate the viability of purchasing new guns or even ammunition.

So folks need to know that when somebody says, "they will never get MY guns", they technically are correct even if miss-informed.

I could be wrong, but I've got a feeling that if you've ever had a background check ran to purchase a gun, SOMEBODY put your name on a list.

I just picked up a new Browning X bolt in 300 WSM yesterday. Spur is gonna set me up with all the fixins to make it an awesome rifle. I can't wait. I bet I can shoot a 12" group at 50 yards:)

They will twist your arm and make you tell em.

Its coming! They will either take them, or tax the ammo so high, you wont be able to afford it. Reload equip will probebly be price out the yin-yang as well!

Nope, no list anywhere, it is illegal to do so.

???, Maybe I have not been clear guys, THERE IS NO REGISTRATION in this country! Just because you bought one through a dealer and had a background check, IT IS NOT REGISTERED.

Sure, Spur, the government wouldn't break the law, or lie. Just ask the Native Americans.

they're all dead now, so I guess we could just ask the people of New Orleans.

I have 3 registered.

Don't get your blood pressure up Spur. These are my NFA toys. Other than those 3 I have......I'll never tell. Even if they twist my arm.

I'll agree with spur....no registration.

Keep in mind when our constitution give us the right to own and bear arms. The other countries might not have that in their constitution. So as much as you guys think the govt can not take our guns away from us. Read your US Constitution which is your legal rights as a citizen of the United States own guns.

I do have to clarify one point.

"If" you have a Class 3 weapon, aka, full auto or a weapon with a silencer, it IS registered. When I say full auto, that means if you pull the trigger, and hold it back it will fire every round in the magazine. Not what the media calls an "automatic". All other guns are "semi automatic" if you have to pull the trigger in rapid sucsession. Now you know, (if you didnt before)

To add to what spur said. If you fire a gun and it fires more than one round, ATF says it is a automatic weapon and immediately you are supposed to take it and get it repaired. If not 15 years mandatory!!!!! There was a case up north where that happened and a guys AR-15 fired more than one round because something broke. Someone called ATF and they came and fined him alot of money because he did not go and have the gun repaired.
