Planning first trip to chickamauga tailwaters . would like to know if there are water hazards i should know about. Ps just came back from smallmouth fishing on the new river in west virginia had a great time best catch ever. just can't seem to get enough thought. thanks for any help. david

Don't run between the first two railroad trestle pilings to the right of the stone piling if you are looking upstream. Huge rockpile that is about 6" under water and it loves props. Other than that, be careful around a big rockpile that you can see above the rr bridge. Good luck.

Check this thread out. If it does not work. Go to search and type in Hazards and search for 6months or a year and you will find some good information. The second picture in the above thread shows you the structure prior to the complettion of the Dam however it still exists. Plus all the work that is going on down there I am certain they have created a few more hazards.
