Saturday Grey yacht with 6 foot wake

As I thought all you wronged Bass Fisherman where no where to be found today when you could have expressed the injustice. Instead you're just on this site spouting out a bunch of nothings and just stating how entitled you are to lake. I read your suggestions that you only make for others to do and do nothing yourself. You say I'm arrogant, yet you never even spoke to me and don't know me. You say that I wake you without regard to your well being. You are full of crap. I believe that you fish without regard to your safety. Let me be clear as I'm the easiest person to find on the lake all the name calling and threats should remain on this site. Do not let your perception of the boat make you think for one second that the man that pilots this vessel takes threats of any kind much less gun fire lightly. (food for thought) Any of you are welcome to approach me at anytime as I have been all over the world and I have dealt with worse. As it must be hard to understand that all boats make wakes. Some larger than other and law is clear to where no wake zones exist whether it is listed or not as well as many other laws. I am in no way saying that y'all represent all the Bass Fisherman as I know you don't. Common respect is not only given one way it must come from all of us. It is clear that I am a channel boat and never break idle in sloughs or anchoring areas. Many of you feel the channel fishing is a right and all other vessels should respect that you are fishing in the channel. The fact that you are fishing in the channel doesn't give you the right of way there and if you are as a boater should know this and take precautions as to maintain your safety. It is not on the Commercial Tug, Cruiser, Wakeboard boat, Bow rider or even the jet ski to alters for you. Gentleman you are the ones to give way and position yourself best for your and yours safety. You are wrong if you think all boats are to break for you. Captains or non captains may not have seen you until the last moment and you BF and all boaters must also take precautions. If I don't see you until the last moment tell me what you want a wake of 2'2" draft or from 4'7" ?? Yes the whole 6ft wake is BS as MY BOAT can not make that size of wake as it is mathematically impossible. It is a nice FISHING TALE. I'm not saying that it doesn't feel like it, but decisions have to be made fast and not only for other boaters benefit, but for my passengers as well. Boys you are on a lake and you may get some water on you. As for myself I break and slow in any situation that I can if I see them in time. I run my boat safely and while you are underway you will need to know what to do if you see me coming. That falls on everyone and not just me. I also don't think we all can see everyone. I have 1000's of hours operating large vessels on chich and all of the TN River and through out the gulf and Atlantic. I still miss things and the tale of your are responsible for your wake doesn't apply to everything. 15-20 ppl are killed every year on Chich and they involve 16-24ft open motor boats and non due to wake. Google is a wonderful thing. I will continue not to break boating laws and be aware of my vessel at all times. Remember, If I can't see you there is nothing I can do. If you feel that I did something approach and the conversation will go anyway you decide for it to go. FYI my vessel does not use gas it uses Diesel.

You need to return to school and retake English composition I bub. English composition I is a class intended to help students develop better writing skills. In this course, you'll study several types of writing, examine PROPER GRAMMAR USAGE, including PUNCTUATION and SPELLING. You'll also spend time focusing on editing and revision.

Just because an idiot has money doesn't make him intelligent.

So your position is if I am fishing the main channel you don't care how big your wake is. That you see that as I am in your spot. So you are not going to back out of it in the main channel correct.

I'm going to play devils advocate here for a second. If you are fishing in the channel you need to be prepared to be swamped by wakes from big boats, it's going to happen and it's not their responsibility to stop every time they pass a smaller boat, it's just not going to happen. Now the A-holes that like to run 50 foot from my boat when I am on the very edge of the channel and they have a quarter mile of open water on the other side, now that is uncalled for and worth saying something about....right then and there, not a week later on the CFF. I appreciate the fact this guy has taken the time to come on here and address this because some of the belly aching on this post is kind of sad. He's left an open invitation to come speak to him about any issue you may have with his wake or the damage it has caused you...so instead of remaining on the CFF complaining about it....go talk to the man.

Its always nice to to have someone like yourself to point out the grammatical errors. Bill Cornwell, I posted this to have you help me with my English composition and I am grateful. I thinking maybe that's why I don't see your name winning any fishing tournaments. You may need to focus on Fishing and not English composition. Hey, you write beautifully! So, next time there is a meeting don't be on the sidelines hoping someone will tell you what happen put on your man pants and join us.

Just because and I responded so poorly grammatically doesn't make me an idiot does it? We are talking about boating and I'm just responding to some of what I feel is BS. Key word "I"

Bill Cornwell, I am familiar with dealing with someone like you. I think you may be a name caller. I do however strongly suggest you say this to me in person.

Aries? Son of Zeus my my you may have been a drama major in HS how cute. Bill or Aries this has been fun I will have to go back to work I got farm to run. I know Bud I should have spent more time in English Class instead of farming.

I was at the meeting last night. Mr. Collins failed to mention that there was 5 people plus 2 TWRA officers at the meeting. It would have been nice if all of the people who are complaining on here had shown up. It is very easy to get online and voice your opinion, however, you had a chance to show up and make a statement.

Well hard for some to show up. I am sure there is some like myself that has to work. Plus the fact that I live an hour from there. My thing is I understand sharing the river. The time I seen you gray you was at richland creek up in dayton. Had my son and his fishing partner in the boat. Fishing there high school tournament. There was 5 boat including us. I know technically you do not have to slow down because you are in the channel. But it would be nice if you was not wot. But it is what it is. The 5 boat just had to deal with your huge wake. I guess you didn't break any laws but common Courtesy would have been nice.

I seen the damage done to my cuz's 2yr old pontoon,,,it ain't purty,,,he wasn't even in it,,,it was tied up to a dock and they were all up on the bank,,,Nothing he could do but watch,,,I'm sure he'd like to talk to ya Mr.Collins and he lives in Cleveland,,,no he is not on this forum

Doesn't matter either way. Like states above, all the people that have had personal injury or just personal property damage had a real legit chance to voice their opinions and concerns but it sounds like only a couple did. I fortunately haven't encountered this boat or his wake for that matter is why I haven't had much input on this thread. However; the threats to this man's boat and his own safety is not very flattering to most other CFF members. I understand if your boat was damaged or you got hurt. I get it. But the matters need to be handled in a legal and orderly fashion.

Well it looks to me he knows what's he is doing and does not care as he has now posted on here so I guess if someone take this matter in there own hands and deal with him he is ready for that all I can say is God bless him and his co boaters because some folks I know personally are ready to deal with this issue

For those old timers remembering this thread and the terror this yacht wreaked on the Chick, I just realized this is the guy that is awaiting federal trial on the multi-million dollar medical cream scam on TriCare. No wonder his behavior on the water was so disrespectful, seems to fit his overall attitude I guess.

I’m one old timer who remembers this thread. Looks like he got what he had coming. At least he’s not on the Chick making the big waves anymore. Crime doesn’t pay!!

That list of assets is mind-blowing.

I’m not sure the River Gorge Explorer is still on the River, but a few years ago I was in a canoe with my son just out of Lookout Creek when it came blowing up, saw me, and dropped down to almost nothing, creeping by with no wake at all. Huge props for that one.
