Our scales now have I think 6 years on them. After Earl and I looked at those last year I have been keeping my eyes open. We can get a new set now for $500 with the option to add a remote display. Please give me your thoughts.

What I like about it:

Low profile

Option to have custom folding baskets and platen

Option for display

Ok, I just saw the regular package. I sure like the deluxe package with he 7 inch monitor. $1,200.00 bucks! Can we get that Santa? We were looking at $1,000.00 if I remember correctly on that used set. I don't really see that much difference with this new set. Can we Santa?

I agree. If theres enough money to get them then i say get the deluxe package. It would be nice to have a seperate display that everyone could see.

Hey, I am going to post some additional information later. I spoke to a sales rep today and they are pushing us to go with the higher end unit. Here is part of the argument for the H2 Series:

1. The display is waterproof, which it is not on the 357 series. If we do a weigh in in the rain, it has to be covered to keep it from possibly being penetrated with water.
2. Warranty is three years versus one year standard for the 357.
3. It has computer connectivity, which means you could actually have the weights automatically transmitted to a tournament keeper program so results could actually be printed and presented onsite. I believe you can also use some software to setup a running leaderboard wirelessly on a laptop.

Cost is more, and the guy is supposed to be sending me a quote.

Straight from the rep:

Biggest selling points of H2 over 357:
H2 is fully water resistant, The model 357 platform is but the indicator is not.
H2 has the dual harmonic motion filtering. The 357 will not Lock in like the H2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo3GN88E3gI&feature=youtu.be)
The H2 has an internal rechargeable Li-Ion Battery. The 357 runs on AAA Batteries
The H2 has an internal Radio to to transmit to the remote display the 357 uses an external radio hub that plugs into the scale that runs on a 9Volt battery.
The H2 has computer connectivity.

Biggest selling point of 357 over the H2:
The 357 is $425 the H2 is $1299
