Spraying in Park for aquatic vegetation has already started! 2018

Dock owners can legally hire licensed companies to spray herbicides within 80 acres of their property.
I think this needs to be changed 80 acres is a lot of water. So if you have a dock and your next door neighbor has a dock and you don't want your area treated but he does can he legally pay someone to spray the grass around your dock if your dock is within 80 acres of his dock?

You guys that think the spraying isn’t killing the grass all over rack me up! If you think that the herbicide doesn’t go all over you are wrong. If that’s your theory let’s go to a pool and tell the kids they can only pee in the shallow end meanwhile you swim in the deep end! That why if they kill grass around certain locations then the current the massive current a lot of you speak of being part of the reason that we had no grass anyway carried the herbicide throughout the lake! Unless tva and the spraying company got those newly designed disciplined pellets that must stay where they are told the. I would believe it more

Now that the water is up I guess we'll have to wait and see if the stuff works or not. People should post if they're snagging new grass anywhere in CFP.

Well Ive been fishing about everyday in park since water up and have barely caught a little buck much less pulled up any grass !!!!! It sucks ! This time last year I had already been catching 6 and 7 lbers from bank in park My pictures prove it with dates on them ! Im afraid the new "STUFF" they sprayed will be very effective at eradicating the bass habitat for years ! I mean there is nothing in there now but the dead sea in my opinion !!! I went with a buddy last week and we found a few spots with new grass @5-6" high , but that was way up river and we did catch about 7 3-3 1/2 lbers and lost 2 each , so maybe a little bit of hope left , but like last year may have to burn $50.00 in gas to catch a 3 lber !!!

Thats good news Elwestb. Maybe can see better out in boat than I can on bank and have certainly not pulled up any. I'm thinking its still been pretty cool and a lot of rain, so maybe it will come on up . Got my fingers crossed !!!

To me the water level and current could not be why the grass was gone last year. But I guess I don't know alot about it. But why from Richland Creek north there was grass but almost non below hey 60 bridge. Same body of water. Same water level. I don't get how there is that much difference without something else happening. I live in Dayton. So I fish here quit a bit. But I do fish in chat area also.

I haven't found any in CFP but I pulled up some 2 to 3 foot healthy strands today in an area upriver that I usually don't fish much

Don't let that get out that you found some grass. There will be an airboat with herbicide on it the next day....
