spraying the grass/drinking water

I saw this on the Times Free Press site. I wander if this has anything to do with the herbicide that has been sprayed for the last several years?

I would think its a safe bet. Chemicals in our lakes and rivers are bound to end up in the drinking water.

A bit quick at jumping to conclusions? The article explains more than just the headline.

It is happening when they use chlorine to disinfect the water that they pull from the river. Got nothing to do with spraying herbicides. emoBang emoBang

"Trihalomethanes mostly form when natural organic materials -- such as rotting logs, leaves and dead animals -- interact with chlorine when the water is processed for drinking. That creates higher concentrations of the chemical in the water in the spring and summer and lower concentrations in the cold months"
