So I guess you are for Roe v. Wade. It was a legal decision, so I guess it must be right.

What kind of response is that? Totally off of the subject.

Right or wrong morally, ethically, or in your opinion, it has been found by the Supreme Court of these United States of America, to be lawful. If we do not like or want this, or any other law, I have pointed out by whom the laws and Constitution can be changed.

So what exactly was the point of your question - to try to belittle me for pointing out what I feel was completely inappropriate behavior for our president? To try to change the subject away from the State of the Union speech? (See the subject line of this thread). I posted only to illustrate a problem that I found in the President's behavior and attitude, and must say that I now find inappropriate in yours, especially as a teacher.

Are we still talking about the supreme court. I guess me being a teacher I should just bow down. I am not in the class room, but a member of this forum. So what is it you do for a living. My point is just because the Supreme court decides something does not make it right. You know I did not say nothing wrong. I asked a question. Honest debate.

Right or wrong is individual opinion, it is the law and we live in a country with the best legal system in the world even though we do not agree with every legal judgment or law. Our legal system is the basis of personal freedoms and protections, our markets’ function and prosperity. It is why, while badly tattered due to lack of oversight by the Legislative and Executive branches of our government that lead to the current Great Recession we are still a place to do business for the world. Our legal system is why the dollar is the currency of the world in terms of many valuations. This is due to our legal system having courts of law, unlike lawless countries where contract law and legislation is non-existent, unenforceable, or suppressive.

I do find it odd that while saying we shouldn't point the finger he continuously speaks of the previous 8 years of debt laid before him. He's promised me change and I just ain't seen it. I'm no political genius but I do think the state of the union address would have went much smoother if the Democrats wouldn't have jumped up to praise the president every 7 words he spit out at me. At one point I was watching Nancy Pellosi talking to VP Biden carrying on a conversation while the president was speaking. Suddenly while Obama throws out a sound bite and everyone of the Dems stand up in praise, knowing damn well they didn't hear what he said, Biden and Pellosi stand up with everyone else. He is a puppet and thats not leadership. It was like (monkey see monkey do). I was taught that if I don't vote I shouldn't have a say, and I truly believe that. If I vote I should at least educate myself enough to make a decision to which way I should go. Therefore I try to watch every one of the presidential addresses, state of the u's, but if its gonna be like that I just can't do it. That was painful to watch.

On the birth certificate...Fathers Name: I don't think the Fathers name was Barack Husein Obama. 147 days as a Senator does not make you a genius on politics, much less presidental material.
I was in the Navy for 3 years, that does not say I can pilot a battleship, just a G3 The road we are on is the one to self destrucion. Look at Greece, and why the country JUST FAILED. Socialist government.
Obama has taken over ALL the infrastructure in the USA; banks, auto makers,real estate;;;ruined small business ( afraid to hire), insurance companies, Wall Street.
Health Care NEXT?? what if I do not have insurance on my home and it burns?? Should I go out and buy insurance and then file for a claim on a burned house?? Tell the insurer to pay up.No Way. Well Obama wants the insurance compaines to insure people who are uninsurable...Think Not.
Now it's a $1 tax on cigarettes...Fat or over weight people, you are next. Fat kids, you & your parents are going to get the axe also. Remember how it is...you can't spank a child,,Do & go to Jail.My parents should be doing life without parole."Course they've passed on and I can't sue them, even if I got the ACLU on my side.
And that's another note; the ACLU was started in the 1950's by a card carrying Communist..Look it up...
Sara Palin stepped down as Governor of Alaska as a lame duck because of all the frivilous lawsiuts against her, and thus saved the State of Alaska millions of dollars fighting those suits. Now she is not governor and the laws suits stopped. GOOD Economics for the pople of Alaska.
