RE: SYERNS FLW rain jacket

I have the bibs and the jacket. If you keep spraying them with some silicone or a waterproofer every year, they are fine. I just fished a tourney with 45mph gusts and 3 footers. We speared about 30 waves and had 6 inches of water by our feet. I was dry up top, but if you have bibs with a zipper in the front, water will soak through to your pants. Lesson learned! I didn't have much of a choice being out there, but if it was a havy rain, I could see the same thing happening. I am looking for some heavy winter bibs that have the zipper on the side or no zipper at all.

If your talking about the FLW rain suit that comes from Walmart, that comes in red/black or blue/black. I purchased one of these a few years ago and I haven't had a problem yet. I have worn them during some terrible rain storms and over cold weather gear as an outer layer. I would recommend them.

Re: SYERNS FLW rain jacket

I have both the top and bottoms I used them when the weather was cooler and during a heavy storm , they held up very well with no leakage.
I think they would be hot during sumer months. I was looking at frogg toggs has anyone tried those?

RE: SYERNS FLW rain jacket

I have Frogg Toggs and the FLW bibs and jacket... I use the Frogg Toggs when it is warmer outside, because they do breathe better... But when the weather is pretty rough (rainy or cold) the FLW suit is better for me. If you get the FLW deal, make sure you try em on and get a set that fits pretty snug or they'll get in your way while fishing. The Frogg Toggs, you can get a size bigger and they naturally fit tight, so it doesnt hurt to get a size bigger. Good luck with either choice, but over all they are both good for different occasions. If I had to choose 1, its would be the flw suit. Just my opinion.

Re: SYERNS FLW rain jacket

I also have the FLW suit and during the monsoons we had at the catch and other early TX they were the best.Stayed dry all day and it beat the 100mph suit I had before,It is a little hot on warm days but being dry is more important to me,the frog togs are great also and light weight so shouldnt go wrong with either choice

Hey Rammy, I bet there more waterproof than your phone was at the bottom of the pool!!!!!!!!!!

</p>Hey, I just sat through about three hours of great fishing in the rain today...one of those that nothing seems to keep you dry..mine worked great. No leaks, breathes pretty good...might need to be treated with scotchguard each year.
